On May 25, 2023, The Ohio Council released its 2023 School-Based Behavioral Health Services Summary Report. This report is based on data submitted by Ohio Council member organizations collected this spring. As of the 2022-2023 academic year, Ohio’s community behavioral health providers continue to offer critical screening, prevention, treatment, and crisis intervention services in nearly 3,000 of the state’s public and private school buildings. While demand for all services remains high, specific demand for crisis intervention-related services has risen notably since the pandemic.
