Ohio’s school districts are preparing all students for success by providing the necessary supports to help them stay focused on their lifelong learning journeys. 

This Thursday, State Superintendent of Public Instruction Paolo DeMaria will host a live social media broadcast to spotlight how two school districts—Ohio School for the Deaf and Cleveland Metropolitan Schools—are using whole child approaches to education. Leaders from these districts will join the conversation to share how their education teams are challenging students academically and preparing them for success. Additionally, the Lebron James Family Foundation and I Promise School will share their focus on supporting the whole child through a social-emotional based curriculum, wrap around services and supporting the whole family including their We Are Family philosophy and a family resource center. The broadcast will also include video vignettes from schools implementing whole child initiatives. 

Watch the live event on Facebook and Twitter beginning at 3 p.m. on March 11. Educators, school leaders, support teams, community organizations, nonprofit partners, parents and caregivers are invited to watch and share their whole child strategies and successes.
