About UsThe Ohio Council is a statewide trade and advocacy association representing more than 170 private organizations that provide community-based prevention, substance use, mental health, and family services across Ohio. Our members support individuals and families at every stage of life, offering person-centered care to promote well-being and recovery. The Ohio Council Governance: Founded in 1979, the Ohio Council is guided by a 15-member Board of Trustees, composed of chief executives from member organizations. Elected by their peers, these leaders set the strategic direction for the Council and oversee its committee structure. As a member-driven organization, the Ohio Council is primarily funded by membership dues. Additional revenue is generated through grants, professional education and training events, and exclusive member services. Through advocacy, collaboration, and education, we work to strengthen Ohio’s behavioral health and family services network. |
