Governor DeWine Announces New Chief of Staff

Governor Mike DeWine recently announced that Chief of Staff Stephanie McCloud will step down from her role on November 15, 2024. The new chief of staff will be Christine Morrison, who is currently serving as Deputy Chief of Staff. McCloud is set to return to her former role as Administrator of the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation. Christine Morrison will take on her new role and duties on November 18, 2024. Ms. Morrison moved to the governor's staff last year as cabinet affairs director after serving as chief of staff to Speaker Bob Cupp (R-Lima) and budget director for Speaker Larry Householder (R-Glenford). Before that, she was deputy director and Controlling Board president in the Office of Budget and Management, among other state government experience.
