Medicaid in Ohio Fact Sheets

The Center for Community Solutions (CCS) has released a series of fact sheets exploring Medicaid Rates in Ohio. The fact sheets include statewide data, as well as data by county. They also link to an interactive map.

The fact sheets explore covered populations, work requirements, and the potential for coverage loss if policy or funding changes are made to the state’s Medicaid program.

In Ohio, Medicaid currently covers over 25% of the State’s population, including 2-in-5 children (44.1%), 1-in-5 working adults (22.3%), and over 1-in-10 older adults (12.4%).  According to CCS data, nearly half of all Ohioans within the Medicaid Expansion group (Group VIII) are employed; and others are students, caretakers, or are dealing with a chronic health condition.
