MyCare Ohio Medicare Enrollment is Oct 15th – Dec 7th

Open enrollment for Ohio Medicare plans is currently underway, running from October 15th – December 7th, 2025. As such, the Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) has shared the 2026 MyCare Plan comparison guide which was created to display benefits that both dual-benefits and Medicaid-only members receive from each plan that exceed Medicare A, B, and D services as well as Medicaid services (including state plan and waiver services). This can be offered to the member via Medicaid Value-Added Benefits or Medicare supplemental benefits. To the member, the distinction between the two will not matter as long as they receive the benefit, and the comparison guide should integrate the two as we strive to integrate other member materials.

As a reminder, the Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP), part of the Ohio Department of Insurance, has launched its annual Medicare Checkup events to help Ohioans navigate Medicare’s open enrollment. OSHIIP offers both in-person and virtual events throughout the state, covering the basics of Medicare, explaining changes, and providing unbiased guidance on how to review and compare plans.

Ohioans can find the schedule of in-person events, organized by county, as well as virtual event options at insurance.ohio.gov. The website also features an interactive calendar to book virtual one-on-one counseling sessions. OSHIIP representatives are also available at (800) 686-1578 and [email protected] to provide assistance.
