National Council - Youth Substance Use Prevention Toolkit
The National Council for Mental Wellbeing, in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), created tools to support youth-serving providers and other adults in their efforts to prevent youth substance use. These tools are intended to equip adults, educators and providers with the necessary messaging and tools to engage youth ages 13-18 in conversations around alcohol and drug use prevention to identify problems, intervene early and provide youth-centered resources for support. Included in these tools is a message guide for providers sharing guidance on how to effectively message substance use prevention efforts with middle and high school aged youth.
