Ohio Medicaid Open Enrollment Nov 1st – Nov 30th

The Ohio Department of Medicaid soon launches its annual managed care open enrollment for calendar year 2025, and has released their 2025 Managed Care Health Plan Comparison Guide so that Medicaid customers do not have to wait to review and select a new plan. 

Now through the end of open enrollment on November 30th, Ohio Medicaid members can review available 2025 managed care plans and can choose a new plan. If members decide to select a new plan, their new coverage will begin on the first day of the month following their selection. If a member makes a new plan selection in September, coverage under the new managed care plan will begin on October 1st.  

Members can select a new plan by using the Ohio Medicaid Consumer Hotline Portal at www.ohiomh.com or by calling the Hotline at 800-324-8680 (TTY 711). Representatives are available 7 am-8 pm Monday through Friday and Saturdays 8 am-5pm.

Importantly - if you would like to stay with your current health plan, no action is needed for open enrollment.

Please Note: The Medicare Open Enrollment Period runs on a slightly different timeline, from October 15th – December 7th annually. During this period, all people with Medicare can change their health plans and prescription drug coverage for the following year to better meet their needs. Per CMS, information for the plans being offered in 2025 will be available beginning in October.
