Recovery Housing Registry – All Recovery Homes Must Register
If you operate recovery housing, you must complete a form for the Recovery Housing Registry that is operated by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. The deadline to apply was November 3, 2023, but late submissions are still being accepted. New recovery homes have 30 days from the day the first resident moves into to the home to register.

All recovery homes must complete the form. The home does not need to be priorly certified in order to complete the form. For more information, including a link to the online form, please view the OhioMHAS Recovery Housing Website.

Please note – starting January 1, 2025, all recovery homes must be certified in order to remain on the registry. Only homes on the registry will be eligible to receive recovery housing funding, referrals from community mental health and behavioral health services providers, or advertise that they are recovery housing, sober living, or any other drug and alcohol-free housing for individuals living with SUD.
