SFY 26-27 State Agency Budget Letters & Baseline Projections
Each State Agency submitted budget letters summarizing their initial budget strategies and initial baseline projections for FY 26-27. It’s important to note that these initial documents only include current initiatives and funding allocations – they do not include “value added” investment or funding request for new projects.
Consistent with Governor DeWine’s unwavering commitment to behavioral health, many of the state agencies specifically discuss behavioral health funding as a priority. The Ohio Department of Medicaid’s budget letter leads behavioral health and home and community-based services as priorities for this budget, the OhioMHAS letter discussed the investment made in behavioral health to fulfill the promises of the past, the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce letter highlights strengthening Student Wellness and Success, and the Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections letter addresses the need for additional behavioral health services and supports.
