Temporary Extension of Ohio Medicaid’s SUD 1115 Demonstration Waiver

Ohio’s application to extend its Section 1115 Demonstration Waiver was submitted to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) in April 2024.  ODM has received multiple temporary extensions to continue to operate under the 1115 waiver past the expiration date of September 30, 2024, to allow CMS to complete its review of the state’s extension application. The current temporary extension was set to expire on December 31, 2025. CMS has granted an additional temporary extension of the initial waiver through December 31, 2026.
