Workforce Training for New BH Staff
SAMHSA’s new, free, self-guided training, “Workforce Training for New Behavioral Health Staff” is available online and is free to the public. This course introduces foundational concepts for behavioral healthcare workers and encourages building trust, respecting individual experiences, and providing compassionate, professional care to improve behavioral health outcomes and overall stability for those in need. The training covers core responsibilities, administrative tasks, communication skills, documentation, and ethical decision-making.

The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) has accredited this course for 1.5 continuing education units (CEUs).
